Dr. David Matsumoto appears on ABC’s news broadcast discussing micro-expressions. I am a fan.

great video. These are hard to read in real time, but I suppose with practice you can pick up on them. Probably needs lots of practice.

    • Jeremy – while it does take a little effort to master, you’d be surprised at how easy it is to learn. After all, many of the emotions are innate and recognition is also quite natural. Infants are able to recognize facial expressions without any training. It all boils down to focus and concentration.

    He Andrew,

I like your blog. I’m also interested in the Memphis Three case. Would you like to make an analysis of the Memphis Three? Can you give an opinion whether Damien is lying or telling the truth? And if you do see any lying cues, to write them down. There’s a video of 48 Hours: A Cry for Innocence which you can watch. There are also a lot of other video’s on the internet. Please, look carefully at filmfragment 16:30 – 16:50 about his admission.

    Thanks in advance.

    • Sander,

An absolutely excellent idea! I’m crushed working on 3 projects for different clients, I should be able to post something later next week…. Stay tuned. And call me Andy.
